COVID-19: Essilor teams mobilized around the world

Essilor succeeded in finding solutions to meet the needs of both our employees and customers amidst this year’s difficult health and economic challenges.
We leveraged digital technologies to boost efficiency and productivity within the Group
, and to keep in touch with nearly 600,000 customers and employees in over 45 countries through webinars, virtual conferences and online training.
Essilor also provided over one million pieces of protective equipment to help frontline workers deal with COVID-19. Our teams took action to stay connected despite social distancing and lockdown restrictions, and showed their motivation and creativity for example by sharing best practices. We also supported our partners and customers to provide consumers with quick and easy access to optical products and solutions.
In addition, Essilor subsidiaries shared COVID-19 specific recommendations and protocols with eyecare professionals around the world, and our e-commerce activities were an integral part of our efforts to reach out to consumers and meet their expectations during the lockdown.
