To celebrate 35 years of its professional review “Points de Vue”, Essilor invited twenty-six experts from around the world to share their perspectives on the theme of prevention. Contributors to this topic span a broad range of backgrounds – from researchers, physicians, ophthalmologists to specialists in photo-protection and even an artist. Their points of view help to bring a wider scientific and clinical reflection on the risks and consequences of phototoxicity (notably harmful effects of UV and blue-violet light) and how eye care professionals can better prevent them.
Points de Vue is an international review of ophthalmic optics that aims to share latest knowledge on vision science, clinical practice, market insights and innovative products with the professional eye care community, especially prescribers. Published by Essilor since 1979, Points de Vue is available free of charge in five languages – English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese – while it is circulated to over 10,000 readers throughout the world. It is also available online at www.pointsdevue.com.
