Gathering more than 700 guests, the event brings together some of the leading players in the French market in order to recognize and honor legal excellence. ‘Trophées du Droit’ is a highly regarded accolade for law firms, legal departments and individual lawyers in France.
“This is a significant recognition of the efforts of not only our Legal team, but of all the key contributors within the Group. Everyone was deeply involved and played key roles in getting the deal closed successfully. Please join me in congratulating all of them,” said Alexander Lunshof, Group Chief Legal Officer, Essilor.
Essilor was recognized for its commitment and successful coordination across global teams in a highly technical and complex operation of notable scale. Last year, French insurance giant, AXA, was awarded for the same category.
This year, the awards were presented in 23 categories including best specialised teams in risk management, compliance, restructuring as well as restructuring related to litigation and patents etc. The nominated teams, selected by French directory organisation ‘Leaders League’*, submitted a portfolio of their most innovative and significant work, before presenting those cases in front of a jury of more than 130 professionals from legal departments of top French companies.
This follows on from another successful coup in March this year, at the 13th edition of the Global Counsel Awards in London, where Essilor was awarded for the ‘Best European M&A’ category, for the same reason. The Global Counsel Awards recognize the best in-house lawyers across the full spectrum of in-house responsibility.
*Leaders League is a leading provider of professional events that enable senior executives to share innovative strategies, best practices, expert opinions and views.
On 25 June the annual Global Operations Awards ceremony was celebrated at Essilor’s Innovation and Technology Center in Créteil, France. Following a two-day agenda including visits to the R&D center in Créteil and Shopper Lab in Paris, nominees joined jury members and colleagues from around the globe to eagerly await and welcome the announcement of the winners.
The demand for solutions to enhance the customer experience continues to be a factor for many companies. Addressing this need, cloud-based CRM* software company, Salesforce, kicked off its Parisian World Tour, with Essilor Group as its featured marketing partner to talk about digital transformation.
