Essilor teams support equality between men and women this International Women’s Day
Essilor is proud to count dedicated, inspiring and talented women whose contributions make a difference and drive success across all parts of the Group, every day.
At Essilor, promoting diversity and inclusion is not only an ethical obligation, but also a fundamental conviction. The Group is committed to taking concrete actions to improve gender equality at each level of the firm from recruitment guidelines (ensuring that 50% of candidates for a given position are women, with at least one woman on the shortlist when hiring at executive level) to career development and support through training, mentoring, and compensation monitoring. The Group also implements local internal initiatives aiming to develop the representation of women into leadership positions.
In addition to these internal initiatives, Essilor is an official sponsor and active participant in the EVE programme whose ambition is to tackle the issue of women’s progression in the professional world.
Diversity is an important source of richness that helps us achieve our mission, and with a total 74,000 male and female employees around the world, advancing parity between men and women is important to upholding our Group values.
Today, Essilorians – both women and men – are promoting equality by taking part in this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) #ChooseToChallenge campaign.
