ESSILOR AND FIA REVEAL THE OFFICIAL VIDEO OF THE “ROAD SAFETY STARTS WITH GOOD VISION” CAMPAIGN
In 2017, FIA adopted a new golden rule for road safety – “Check your vision”. It was the first high profile initiative in a three-year partnership between Essilor and the FIA that has multiplied our audience and has officially placed good vision on the worldwide road safety agenda.
But, what does “good vision to be safe on the road” entail? How we are influencing conversations, creating greater public awareness and educating through eye care professionals, authorities or driving schools? And how does this powerful message federate Essilor teams worldwide around this cause?
“This video holds inside the power of this strategic global move and the potential of this collaboration. It explains in 1 minute why good vision is important on the road, how poorly corrected vision or glare affects reaction time and how to avoid risks following a few simple rules. It is a discussion opener to introduce this vital issue with an important call to action”, says David Navarro, head of the FIA partnership at Essilor Group.

It is part of a digital toolkit that the FIA is distributing to its worldwide network of 250 clubs representing 80 million members in order to help them advocate on the importance of good vision and road safety.
