Essilor celebrates the 40th anniversary of the merger between Essel and Silor 

With a heritage dating back more than 160 years, Essilor was created in 1972 through the merger of two industry leaders: Essel and Silor. In 2012, Essilor celebrates the 40th anniversary of this major event in its history.
